Fall Favorites and a Freebie - True Life I'm a Teacher

Happy Fall, Y'all! I don't ever get tired of saying that!!! It's Theresa from True Life I'm a Teacher!

I LOVE fall! Being from Florida, I never really experienced fall growing up...but I would see pictures of the most gorgeous trees with deep red, purple, orange, and golden trees, and I knew that fall was my favorite season. Can I just say, Fall hasn't disappointed me yet! PLUS, here at the Primary Peach, we're talking about our fall favorites, sharing freebies, oh, and having a GIVEAWAY!
You're going to want to scroll to the end of this post to enter our giveaway for a $50 gift card to either Amazon or Teachers Pay Teachers (the winner gets to choose!)
What's not to love about Fall? PSL's (that's pumpkin spice lattes for you non-coffee drinkers), sweaters, boots, no humidity, changing leaves, pumpkin everything, soups, Halloween, cool, crisp weather, windows open, fuzzy socks, pumpkin everything, scarves, football, oh and have I mentioned pumpkin everything?!
I love children's books of pretty much any variety, but there's something extra special about fall-themed picture books! You can read descriptions of all the books here.
I also really love decorating for fall!
The BEST Autumn candle ever! I buy these 4 (or more!) at a time (they go on sale, plus I usually have a coupon), and probably go through a candle every 1-2 weeks. It's that great! Yum!
This year, my husband and I went apple picking for the first time, and it was such a fun experience! The weather was just as perfect as the view!
What's better than Fall? Nothing, actually! Haha! But freebies come close! My freebie is actual all about giving back and giving thanks to the military. Both of my grandpa's served in the military, along with my father-in-law. I tend to get emotional when I think of all those who have served or are currently serving in the military have sacrificed for all I hold near and dear.

Nothing I could say or do, would ever be enough to show my appreciation, however, I do think that taking time out to write heartfelt letters with my students is a start.

Each year, a local radio station launches a HUGE campaign to ensure that every.single deployed military man and woman receives a handwritten letter for Thanksgiving.
The catch is that in order to get the letters delivered in time, they must be received by the radio station no later than October 30.
The best part, though, is that this is literally a 1-lesson activity. In other words, just use it for ONE of your writing blocks sometime between now and the end(ish) of October. Read more about it here.
Don't forget to enter for your chance to win a $50 gift card to either Amazon or TpT - winner's choice!
